Season Finale Party & Documentary DVD Screening Saturday June 15th – Free Show!

COB-FREESPACE-WEB-FINAL

The final show of our tenth anniversary season is part of an intriguing experiment. Check out the description of the event space below.

We will start the evening at 7pm with a screening of our 2011/2012 season documentary dvd, A Midnight Choir. This will be followed by a performance by the unique harmonica trio, Tin Sandwich. Then the Beards will sing. We plan to add some very experimental arrangements to the set, so expect the unexpected. This is a FREE event.

A description of the event space…

[ freespace ] is a month-long pop-up community center focused on hacking the civic experience. It is hosted in a 14,000 sqft warehouse in SOMA, San Francisco, envisioned and implemented entirely by you! [ freespace ] is open to the entire bay area, so please come by and make your mark.

Our mission is to foster creativity, community, and civic innovation through the gift of free space.

Throughout the month we’ll be home base for a wide array of events and projects, including but not limited to classes, music, art, yoga, silent discos, free bike-share, community engagement and field trips, and more than a few silly costumes. The power and success of [ freespace ] is a direct result of the energy freely contributed by a diverse range of every day citizens – everything that happens here is created by someone like you.

If you would like to know what is already scheduled at [ freespace ] please consult our calendar or stay up to date on our facebook page. If you would like to contribute an idea for an event or, even better, a project please fill out this submission form. If you have general question or comments, we suggest you come in to the space at 1131 Mission St to speak to someone in person or contact [ Freespace ] here – http://freespace.io/.
