DESCRIPTION:\nGolem and Conspiracy of Beards back together again! \nA klezmer-rock band and a choir that sings Leonard Cohen\, could you imagine a more amazing show? \nChelsea Music Hall\nSaturday\, May 6 – 7pm doors \nAbout Golem\nKlezmer-rock band Golem was founded by Annette Ezekiel Kogan in New York City\, and since then\, the band (Annette Ezekiel Kogan\, Aaron Diskin\, Jeremy Brown\, Curtis Hasselbring\, Taylor Bergren Chrisman and Tim Monaghan) has become a leading re-interpreter and innovator of Yiddish and Eastern European music\, creating new songs and pushing tradition forward into new territory. Golem is known for its theatricality and fearless wild energy\, combined with a boundless love of tradition. The band performs nationally and internationally\, from the east coast to the west\, and from Paris to Mexico City to Stockholm to Warsaw. The band is at home in venues as varied as rock clubs\, festivals\, and theaters\, and at weddings and parties as well. After self-released album\, “Homesick Songs\,” they released two albums\, “Fresh Off Boat” and “Citizen Boris” on independent Jewish label\, Jdub Records. Golem then joined the roster of Mexican label Discos Corason (Buena Vista Social Club) and released the highly acclaimed album\, “Tanz.” Golem was featured performing live in Season 4 of “Louie” and on “The Untitled Action Bronson Show” on Vice TV\, in the Amazon TV series with Al Pacino\, “Hunters” and Netflix’s “Dash and Lily.” Golem is “not your father’s klezmer band\, unless of course your father was Sid Vicious” (Jewish Week). \nTickets\nFacebook Event \n
